This Road Season is a little settled now with event applications with local councils and Traffic Management Plans are under review. The cost of these plans and applications have escalated the operating costs of holding these events, but we have the kind sponsorship of KEVLAR Group who are reviewing and update our plans at no significant cost and this help’s keep our entry cost reasonable with an ever inflating world.

This committee is committed to the Individual will be the focus of reward for consist performance and commitment to club racing, awarded for the best constant performances over the race season. The final RR event will not included in the points allocation.

Each grade has its own Individual points competition, with points awarded as follows:

First 6 points
Second 5 points
Third 4 points
Starting 1 points

Riders promoted to a higher grade keep their points to a maximum of 1 point below third place in the gaining Grade. Demoted riders also keep all their points with them.

Riders must hold a current AVCC license to participate.

COMPETITION

This Winter Completion – Prizes will awarded for the best performed individual in each grade.

The Teams Competition has no sponsorship for this season, it will be based on the aggregate points of all team members. It is expected it will be informally managed.

Team riders will be required to wear only an approved team kit and managers are required to submit an image of the team kit at the start of the season. All team riders should wear the same team kit. Team riders who are not dressed in the approved team kit will not accrue team points.

Teams are to have a minimum of 4 riders to a maximum of 8 riders. If more riders are nominated, a second team is to be formed between team members. Nominated riders cannot switch between teams.

Points for the Team Awards will be detailed across all grades in 15 out of the proposed races for the Season – The Age Group Championship and last race of the season will not be included in those points.

The Winter Road Season Teams Competition currently has no sponsorship funding, but will be run in conjunction with the Individual. Unless we gain some additional funding, we do not have sufficient funding equity in the club to pay prize money. The Competition will still go ahead regardless and the same rules will apply. We would prefer team members to manage the points administration.

If you are a member of a team, please ensure your team manager has you listed with the same details you have on your Entry Boss profile, and the spelling of your name on your profile matches your racing license.

* Warning *Non-Member Entry riders and WCMCC riders who have an AusCycle EntryBoss account profile, you will need to set up another profile/or swap profiles for West Coast Masters EntryBoss races. This is to cover you for race insurance purposes.

club Winter Championships

The WCMCC Masters Winter Road Race Championship awards medals are in five-year age divisions. Two or more divisions may be combined into one race (this will not affect the awarding of medals).

The 2024 Road Race Championship will be at the Chidlow A Circuit on 13 October 2024 – Members may enter online through the usual process.
