corner marshal’s
The club always requires Corner Marshall’s to control traffic for our bike races as our cyclists transition the various courses. The position is paid for your time out in the elements of nature whilst battling feral drivers who believe we have no right to live, let alone race.
As a corner marshal, we will train you in your requirements and obligations and you receive recognition which entitles you to have the power to stop traffic to allow our riders clear passage. You have endorsed power given by the police before the bike event commences.
Its a rewarding job on a Sunday morning, and you get paid to boot. We would rotate you with others, or you can do it every week we race if you wish, but we always need to have people suitably available to fill gaps when others cannot attend. Your are really appriciated as we could not race without the Marshal.
