First-aid
Minimum requirement: Basic first-aid certificate (must be current).
First-aid volunteers get a free race entry for every duty performed.
You will be responsible for attending to riders involved in any race incidents, assessing their injuries, providing initial treatment, and if necessary, calling for an ambulance.
The club has a comprehensive first-aid kit which includes oxygen and a cardiac defibrillator. You will need to collect the kit from the previous week’s volunteer and ensure it is available to the following volunteer.
